Yes, indeed, MDA (My Darling Ann - Coulter) succeeded where no other lady would ever succeed because being a Grade I wimp I never - ever! - take cold showers. But, you see, I'm a sucker for blondes and when MDA smiled enticingly at me, well, who could resist - and so in I plunged. Well, it might have been painful but at least it cleared my mind. To summarise rather crudely her cold shower latest column, the Republican party in America is fucked!
In the end, and 'the end' in politician's minds are elections, it's all down to the voters. Thus, as the Democrat party realised some time ago, if you open your borders to as many immigrants as possible, legal or otherwise, you can bet your last dollar that they will vote for the socialist party which will promise them endless 'freebies' and hand-outs of every kind. Also, if you are, shall we say, relaxed about enforcing strict identification at the polling stations, then even more immigrants, legal or otherwise, can crowd in to vote for you. Of course, the opposite holds true, that if your party opposes immigration and wishes to crack down on illegals then in contemporary America you can expect a cold shoulder from Hispanic and Asian immigrants and all their families.
According to MDA, this obvious truth is confirmed in just about every opinion poll taken amongst immigrant voters. So the Republican party is faced with a dilemma, do they rack up their opposition to easier access for immigrants and keep their own supporters happy, or do they cave in to what appears to be the inevitable and follow the Democrat lead in loosening immigration rules and regs in the hope that they, too, can nick some of the immigrant vote?
Well that is equally obvious, too, they caved! MDA is withering in her scorn and also shivering in her shoes - well, not really, I don't think she has shivered since she was four years old! - but I'm shivering in mine - and I'm not even an American, let alone a Republican. But MDA is positive in her belief that the future demographics of the USA are being shifted inexorably Leftwards by huge influxes of Hispanics and Asians and their growing families. The result will be virtually non-stop Democrat government and America will join the rest of us living under socialism.
