Here it is! My BIG announcement! Since I was in 8th grade, I have studied web design, graphic design, and even received certification in the Adobe Suites. It was never something I dreamed I would find a passion for. But somehow, in all of those classes, I did. It actually didn't hit me until two or so years ago that this was something that I actually love. And honestly, I wish it had hit me earlier. But things take time to discover.
For the past three or four years, I have been assisting my parents with graphic design for their specific design needs; creating logos, business card templates, newsletters, and more. As I've assisted them, I started doing graphic design on the side for bloggers and other companies in the area. In October 2013, I became Southern Blog Society's first social media intern, which led me to realize how amazing witnessing the impact of social media on a community really is. From there I took on my mother's law firm as a social media management client and manage her pages on a daily basis. With my blog experience, training, and the passion I've developed for the trade, I also developed a dream in the midst of it.My dream would mean that I would be able to start my own media services company. It was just a matter of timing. Finally I opened an Etsy shop in which I saw a great response with logo creation and media kit services that were offered. Because of the response the Etsy shop provided, I decided to add some "POP" to my own brand and create my own media services website where I will continue to work out of. Starting in two weeks, the Etsy shop will be taken down and my services will only be available through my media services website. I look forward to seeing where this big step will take me and what opportunities will rise from it. Check out the site (click the image to be connected!)
