Musharraf’s Nomination Papers Accepted for Chirtal, Rejected in Karachi

Former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s nomination papers have been accepted from NA-32 constituency of Chitral while rejected from NA-250, Karachi.

His nomination papers had already been rejected for NA-129 constituency of Kasur were already rejected while decision over his candidacy for NA-48 constituency of Islamabad is yet to be announced.

The chief of All of Pakistan Muslim League (APML), who returned to Pakistan last month ending his four and half year self-imposed exile to partake in the historic elections, had filed nomination papers from four constituencies.

Jamaat-i-Islami candidate from NA-250 Naimatullah Khan, Ikhtiar Ali Chenoi and others had objected to Musharraf’s candidature over his alleged involvement in the murders of Benazir Bhutto, Nawab Akbar Bugti and deposing Supreme Court Judges.
