Chief Incumbent of Narahenpita Abhayarama Ven. Dr. Muruththetuwe Ananda thera, Chief Incumbent of Havelock City temple Ven. Athapaththukande Ananda thera and Getamanne Gunananda thera had on Monday (5) met former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and SLPP founder Basil Rajapaksa and requested them to get together and support President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the upcoming presidential election.
They had said that President Wickremesinghe revived the country that collapsed and urged them to arrive at a correct decision by thinking about the country.
Thereafter the venerable theras had met President Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday and had a discussion with him as well.
