Verdict on Mr Malcolm’s List
Mr Malcolm’s List is a romantic comedy following a young woman wanting to find a husband in 19th-century England. After she gets shunned by a potential suitor, she turns to a friend to help get revenge, only for her friend to fall for the man.
This movie gets to play into the idea that high society believed they were above people. The silly games they play on each other in the name of entertainment. When it plays out, we get a story similar to what we have seen before, when a ‘game’ goes wrong on people. If you are a fan of period-piece movies, you could easily get enjoyment out of this movie. The performances are strong from the whole cast throughout the movie.
Final Thoughts – Mr Malcolm’s List is an entertaining period-piece movie.
