My Thoughts:
The Purge is not a good movie, it's not a bad movie either. I was really pumped for this movie when I saw the trailer BECAUSE it looked really good and creative and interesting. But I also knew it could be a letdown, which it was for me. Its a dumb movie, but very enjoyable as well. Its a movie you would watch with your friends at a sleepover, not really an in theatres, chiller, horrifying movie. It was more thriller-esque, more than horror. There wasn't really a big of a plot and such, like character development, but it did make me think about what if this was real. It made me think on that aspect. But otherwise, it was different. I love Ethan Hawke. So he was great just because I'm so use to him and his characters. And the mother, Lena Headey, she was great. Mainly towards the end of the movie, but she was very, very good at the end. The only scene that's really memorable was with her in it. The children weren't all that. The youngest, Max Burkholder, I disliked so much. I wanted him to die and that's it. I just did NOT LIKE HIM. And the older female character, Adelaide Kane, she was good. Not fantastic, like some child actors/actresses I've seen in horror movies, but she was good.
One person I absolutely HAVE to praise is Rhys Wakefield. And who is he, you ask?
