Who’s ready for a second serving of some Breakin’? I know I am and this time the trailer basically spells it out for you that if you like the first one, you will love this sequel. Isn’t it great that the trailer is telling you the audience how to feel about all of this. Then it even goes on to explicitly state that this is one of the finest films to be released from the Cannon Group. What the hell? I don’t think I see most companies having one signature speak for all of the production/distribution companies. Anyways, whatever, Breakin’ 2 is just more of the same, but more and more dancing!
Breakdancing, hip-hop, rap, and a good time are the main stars of this standard teen movie about youths trying to raise money to save their community club from being razed for a shopping mall. Ozone (Adolfo Quiñones) and Turbo (Michael Chambers) are two master breakdancers who have started a community club to teach other teens how to manage the acrobatics of the dance without literally breaking anything. Their efforts create some choreographed, group breakdancing that is rather innovative. But an evil developer (Peter MacLean) sees their property as ideal for a shopping mall project — and a crooked politician is willing to back him up for a fee. As the teens do their best to raise money to keep their center, some are also battling with restrictive parents or trying to ease into romantic liaisons that offer their own challenges. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
Ah the old, have to breakdance to save the community center or something. I am not certain as to what really went down in this flick as I was just watching to see what ridiculous dance scenes were happening. But let’s just say that the man is wanting to shut down their dance hall and they have to dance to save it…I guess. I don’t know seriously if you are watching this for the plot….good for you I guess. For me, its all about the bad acting, the bad plot, the bad everything,e except for the dancing. That shit is good. Also one last thing, what the fuck is up with the title? Why electric boogaloo? Probably one of the greatest mysteries of all time. I am sure they may have brought it up in the movie, but I didn’t care enough to listen. Time for dancing!

I would love to live in a town where the youths just start dancing all the fucking time instead of robbing or smoking the drugs.
These are the least intimidating gangs in the history of gangs. The dudes from Westside Story would beat the shit out of them. At least they have those sweet moves working for them. And who carries nunchucks anymore? Why don’t they just use them against the other gang instead of using them like they are a member of Stomp? Also this scene is the very definition of breakdance fighting.
