Movement join the popular um.. movement of downtempo electronic R&B groups. As “Us” develops though, it is clear that these guys are not just trend followers. They happen to be participating in a popular sound but they do it well and it sounds genuine. The production mixes italo disco and downtempo EDM, the vocalist floats by in an apathetic falsetto asking, “did you believe in us?”.
Check out some other more upbeat electronic tracks, the bombastic yet uplifting electronic dance number, “Liar Liar” by Avicii and the Odesza’s sample heavy “Without You” which sounds like purity ring and clams casino had a baby. It probably ends up looking like the elephant man but it sounds cool.
