Mothers, "We See You" on Mother’s Day and Every Day!

This post is sponsored by the Florida Prepaid College Board, through my role as a blogger in their “we see you” campaign. All thoughts are my own.

Mother’s Day is almost here! Through their Mother's Day campaign, Florida Prepaid is passionate about celebrating and thanking moms -- the CEOs of the family -- for the hard work they do every day. Often, our work as mothers goes unnoticed or is taken for granted. Many of our tasks feel mundane and repetitive (laundry, cooking, driving…), but we know in our hearts that we’re doing the most important job that a woman can do. I absolutely love this video from Florida Prepaid that shows just how much we do for our families!

Florida Prepaid’s Mother's Day video has me thinking about the many personas we adopt as Mom. Perhaps you consider yourself The Chauffeur Mom, The Line Cook Mom, The Maid Mom, The Tired Mom, The Solo Mom, The Homeschooling Mom, The Stepmom, The Sports Mom… I could go on and on! Chances are, you can find plenty of words to put in your title of “The _____ Mom”! I sure can! My roles include:
The Mom of TeenagersThe Chauffeur MomThe Worrying MomThe Homework Nagging MomThe Sports MomThe Trying to Balance It All MomThe Work-Outside-the-Home MomThe Tired MomThe Appointment-Making Mom…and much more!
But I am also grateful, proud and happy that I get to be a mom every day. I can’t imagine what my life would be like without my four boys (a lot less chaotic, that’s for sure), and I know in my heart that I was meant to be the parent of these kids. So, I celebrate all mothers for Mother’s Day, regardless of whether they’re moms by birth, stepmoms, honorary moms, adoptive moms, or grandmothers raising children. Our roles in caring for the children in our lives are many, and they’re not always appreciated, so today I want to say to all of you: YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
