Plot: Alice and Celine live a traditional lifestyle with successful husbands and sons of the same age. Life’s perfect harmony is suddenly shattered after a tragic accident. Guilt, suspicion and paranoia combine to unravel their sisterly bond.

Story: Mothers’ Instinct starts as we meet two best friends Alice (Chastain) and Celina (Hathaway). They live next door to each other with their families and children Theo (O’Connell) and Max (Bielitz). The two support each other through every decision, but in a moment of tragedy, Max dies, and Celine closes off from the world.
Celine starts acting differently and Alice gets paranoid that she is trying to ruin her life. However, Alice’s family doesn’t believe her worries and she must figure out what is real or not.
Verdict on Mothers’ Instinct
Mothers’ Instinct is a mystery thriller following two mothers whose lives are turned upside down. It sees one suffer a tragedy and the other becomes paranoid that the neighbor is trying to steal her son. However, it becomes more than that as she searches for the truth and must understand what is happening.
This movie plays out as unsettling, it looks at the friendship that gets torn apart. It shows how difficult it is for a child to lose their friend and how things can change overnight. We get a disturbing story that surprises us with the direction it goes. There is also great performances from the leading stars Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain.
