Mother’s Day Craft in a SNAP

Today I’m SO excited to be at SNAP Conference in Salt Lake City surrounded by 500 other talented crafty bloggers learning, creating, and celebrating the friendships we’ve made because of blogging! And to celebrate with you, I teamed up with Abbey from The Cards We Drew and a large group of bloggers to create Crafts in a SNAP {15 Minute Craft Ideas} so that ANYONE, whether beginner or seasoned pro, can learn to create fun and handmade items in no time at all! Check out my tutorial for a Mother’s Day picture frame coming up, then scroll down below and be sure to check out some of what my blogging friends have to offer!! Have fun and get creative!

Are you ready for some quick crafting? When Abbey invited me to participate in the Craft in a SNAP blog hop I thought it would be a great chance to not only do a quick and easy craft but make it a Mother’s Day craft at the same time.

I picked up this picture frame in the unfinished wood project section at Hobby Lobby and then hit up the scapbooking aisle for some embellishments like these label holders.

I painted the frame in 2 coats of Sweet Pickins Milk Paint in Galvanized. One of my favorite colors to use.  Of course, you can use craft paint or even some leftover wall paint.

Then I sanded the frame to distress the edges a bit. And followed up with Sweet Pickins Dark Wax to give the paint a more time worn patina.

I added the label holder to the bottom of the frame and added a label.

You could add your favorite picture of you and your Mom to the frame and give this as a gift. Or you can print the Mother’s Day printable I made for you and add it to your frame. This would be a great frame to keep in your own home for a little Mother’s Day decor. Just click HERE to print your own Mother’s Day sign.

That’s it! Super easy and quick. You can make this craft in a SNAP! Don’t forget to hop around and find more quick and easy crafts from my fellow SNAP friends. An InLinkz Link-up
