Mother Mother at 102.1 The Edge – Sugar Beach Sessions

By Phjoshua @thereviewsarein

It's not a secret that I love Sugar Beach Sessions. This time around it was for Vancouver-based, indie rock band Mother Mother. Their seventh full-length studio album Dance and Cry came out today.

Dance and Cry features 12-tracks, all written by lead singer Ryan Guldemond. The album was produced by Ryan and Ben Kaplan. It's a more stripped down sound that and sounds a lot like earlier releases. Get Up is the lead single off the album and it's all over the radio. Sitting into the top 5 and reaching #1 most added song at Canada Alternative Rock radio in its first week.

Ryan Guldemond, Molly Guldemond, and Jasmin Parkin came out to sing for fans in an authentic, intimate and acoustic set at 102.1 The Edge. The Mother Mother fans showed up despite the foggy, grey, rainy weather blanketing Toronto.

Ryan told us stories about the songs, and Molly and Jasmine added their voices creating beautiful harmonies. Keep your eyes on The Edge for the replay, it's something you don't want to miss.

Today Mother Mother also announced their 40-date tour, kicking off on January 12th, 2019. Tickets go on sale November 9. VIP packages will be available November 3 at 10:00 AM at mothermothervip.com. Hopefully they're coming to a town near you!

It was a quick three song set but Jasmin, Molly and Ryan stayed afterwards to talk and take selfies with fans. The connection between fans and band was obvious. It was clear that connection went both ways.
