The Vampire Diaries Finally things are clearer, finally people are actually dying on this show. No idea if they stay dead at this point, but I'm sure that Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev will be happy with less lines to remember and less time in hair and makeup. So lets see if I can sum it up: Silas had a lovely neck bite, took the bus from Philly to Mystic Falls to end his life with his one true love, Doppelganger Omara Doppleganger and anchor to the other side, Omara, was going insane from being frozen in stone for 2000 years. All she really wanted was to die, but the gang needed to keep her alive and away from Silas until they could figured out a way to get Bonnie back from the dead Stefan got his memories back which actually sucked for him. He hoped that by killing Silas he would feel better...he didn't. Doppleganger and mortal, Katherine, is aging quickly and only has a few months to live. Nadia, Katherine's daughter who looks old enough to be her mother, wants to get to know her Mom, but Katherine's not interested, especially since she's not going to be around much longer Tessa who was out for revenge and wanted to join Silas on the other side, got her wish and even helped to bring Bonnie back to life, but burned her spellbook in the process Silas is now dead and buried thanks to Stefan Elena, Bonnie, and Caroline are happy to be together and planning out their matching bedding for the dorm room they never use Bonnie's back but as the anchor between earth and the afterlife, she screams in pain every time someone dies and crosses through her to the other side. Jeremy's just happy that Bonnie's back and maybe, just maybe, he'll be able to finally get some. Damon made his woman happy, but I'm sensing it won't last for long. How'd I do?
Glee Back to preaching...I guess it was only a matter of time before we had to get back to it right? Sue was against twerking, Glee club wasn't. Unique/Wade, Mr. Shu, and the Glee club were all for being who you are and it seemed for months everyone at McKinley was too, but since the writers and Ryan Murphy were back on their soapbox, we all had to remember that he/she can't go to the bathroom like everyone else so a big preachy lesson and a port-o-potty was what we got. Marlie found out Jake cheated on her, Rachel faked us out with Streisand hair and a Finn tattoo and Kurt ended up with a tattoo typo. Some good songs though. "Blurred Lines," "If I Were a Boy," "Wrecking Ball" and "On Our Way." Should have watched Reign first.
Scandal 15 years ago Mellie and Fitz were in love and still doing each other. 15 years ago Mellie, Fitz and Fitz's dad met Cyrus Beane and started their journey towards the presidency. 15 year ago Cyrus had really bad hair, a beard and was married to a woman. 15 years ago Fitz already drank Scotch 15 years ago Fitz wore turtlenecks and ran for Governor of California 15 years ago Fitz's Dad was still a d*ck and raped Mellie!!!!! O...M...G!!!! 15 years ago Mellie started keeping secrets 15 years ago Mellie used the rape as leverage with Papa Grant 15 years ago Mellie became pregnant (Father is???)
Today Fitz is the Prez, Mellie's the first lady, and Olivia Pope's the first mistress Today Mellie's still doing everything possible for Fitz's presidency and keeping secrets Today Olivia told her team the truth about her Mom and Dad and let herself get hugged
Today Cyrus has less hair, no beard and is married to a man Today Sally, the Vice President is married to a man who likes men Today, unbeknownst to her, was Quinn's first day in B613 Today Quinn killed a man on her first day at the "office" Today Quinn and Charlie are in a crazy "relationship" and killing people together Today we found out that Olivia Pope's Mom isn't dead. OMG!!!
Great song in this weeks episode, big time bonus points if you can name it and the artist.
Parenthood I get that Zeke wasn't invited to Italy with Camille, but don't you just want him to pack up his stuff and go to Florence? I think it would do them both good and maybe We'll all feel better about their third act. Julia needs to go back to work, big time. Her second act's a mess and getting worse by the week. There's definitely a chemistry between her and Ed, I mean that hug was trouble wasn't it? Sure the Victor thing's a bummer, but Julia's really the problem here so, I'm recommending some Linked-In for Julia. Zeke needs something to do, so he can help with the kids after school. Problem solved right? I like Sarah's tenant, ya think she can actually NOT flake out with this one? He's cute, seems like he has some nice friends, is into wine and doesn't mumble. It won't last. Ryan returned Amber's ring, and just a reminder that I called it a while ago, they will NEVER end up together. I'm right about this stuff. How awesome are Adam and Kristina? There this close to Coach Taylor and Tami, this close. Adam on his own is just the best. My favorite moment of the episode was when Crosby showed up at The Luncheonette upset that Jabar chose ballet over basketball and Adam told him the truth. Our kids don't always like what we like, they don't always do what we want them to do, and sure he would have liked for Max be into baseball, but he's into bugs...so he learned about bugs. We all need an Adam.
NEWS & INFORMATION:
-The holiday commercials have already started. Earlier and earlier right? I don't love them bombarding me so early, but some of them are really good. here's my current fave courtesy of the NBA. Happy Holidays!

-So last Summer Jon Stewart used up his vacation time to make a movie. Perfect plan, John Oliver, his Daily Show bud covered for him while he was gone. He did such a good job apparently, that HBO offered him his own weekly show. Of course he's taking the job. Guess what night his new show's going to air? Guess...come on, what night? Sunday of course, these programmers can't think of any other day to put good shows can they? Everyone wants Sunday Night. They kill me. Anyway, HBO's gain is Jon Stewart and Comedy Central's loss. I bet Jon will think twice next time he wants to take some time off huh?
-Hell on Wheels over on AMC has been renewed for a 4th Season. Should I be watching that one? Not sure where I'd fit it in but maybe once I'm done with Strike Back I'll check this one out. Is anyone watching it?
-Charles Esten, aka Deacon from Nashville is apparently more than just a pretty face. He has brains too! Charles is the first celebrity to get all the way to the million dollar question on the daytime version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. No idea if he wins it all. I may have to DVR the show on Wednesday and Thursday to see him play though. He's playing for charity, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to be exact. Fingers crossed that he actually wins it big!
-Every one's into the Twitter Amplify thing these days and now American Express is on board too. Amex is partnering up with FOX to provide viewers access to timely content that will enhance their viewing experience. I wish it was a few months down the road so I could read the case studies on all of this stuff. Do we know yet if any of this increases brand preference? Brand awareness or god forbid PURCHASE? Just thinking out loud.
-I love the title of a new Discovery show headed our way in a few weeks, Dude Your Screwed. 5 survival experts are dropped into some crazy place and have to make it back to civilization in 100 hours. It's only 7 episodes and starts on December 8th. I gotta check that one out.Friday's Trivia Question: Remember the show Dirty Jobs? What was the hosts name? Can you name the car company he's the spokesperson for now? Have a great weekend!
