Moong Dal Shorba | Moong Dal Soup Recipe

Ingredients 1 Cup Yellow Split Gram 1/2 Cup Tomatoes, Finely Chopped 1/2 Cup Onion, Finely Chopped 2 Green Chilies, Chopped 1 Tsp. Ginger, Grated 1/2 Tsp. Turmeric Powder Red Chili Powder to Taste 1/2 Tsp. Garam Masala Salt to Taste 2 Tbsps. Butter 1 Tbsp. Garlic, Chopped
Instructions Wash and soak the dal in water for 30 Minutes. Chop the tomatoes, onion, green chilies and keep aside. Combine all ingredients together in pressure cooker with 3 Cups of water. Cover the cooker with lid and cook the dal till to 4-5 whistles. Release the whistle and blend it to get little smooth texture. Add extra 1/2 Cup of water according to consistency, add more if needed. Mix well. Now heat the butter in separate pan and add chopped garlic and roast it in butter. Add dal mixture and cook the dal on low flame for 5-8 Minutes. Sprinkle little black pepper and serve hot with garlic bread.
