Mondays with Karen the Cat (on Tuesday): San Marvelous

By Slowdownandsavor

Happy Tuesday, everyone. Sorry this Mondays with Karen the Cat post is going up semi-late on a Tuesday night, but hey… just go with me, OK? Yesterday was a typical Monday where I encountered a billion-jillion problemos with my site, and by the time it got back to working order, about this time yesterday, I was so frustrated that I just shut it down and chose to let it go and come back to it later today. On with the show!

This past September, I wrote an article for a local magazine, BobcatFans/SMTX, about this company called San Marvelous, it’s owner, Rio, and his brand as a whole: comfortable and durable clothing inspired by the students of my alma mater, Texas State University. Since September, the fun-loving brand really exploded, and Rio was able to make San Marvelous his full-time gig. Baller. I, for one, fully fell in love with all things San Marvelous. Why? First, the shirts are bright, fun and exciting. They’re comfy. They’re long-lasting, they’re conversation starters and they are all about a town and school that I have grown super attached to. Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to get some super awesome San Marvelous swag and I couldn’t have been happier with my new duds.

So today, Karen the Cat reminded me to be both thankful and inspired by San Marvelous. Thankful for the awesome clothes that represent something wonderful and important to me, and I am inspired by Rio’s dedication, passion and entrepreneurship. He took something he believed in and went for it full throttle. He never gave up or gave in, and that’s really cool. So kudos to you, Rio.

So happy Tuesday, everyone, and I hope that everyone’s Monday wasn’t so bad. Tomorrow will be awesome, for sure, and I can’t wait to tell you all about the Food Network filming I’ll be attending and participating in!!!
