Monday’s PGCo, Did You Know…

By Ceemac126 @PGCBlogging

Currie crying sick as jury chosen, Geico Gecko to welcome your children to theater, Former Capitol Heights mayor & Prince George’s County delegate charged with stealing, New Carrollton lease just the beginning of bigger and better in PGCo

Currie said his cancer medications had him feeling “fuzzy” during the FBI’s investigation of him 3 years ago.  Were you fuzzy when receiving all that cash to push for Shoppers Food Warehouse? When will Black politicians learn that profiting off of their political position is a game they can’t win. STOP IT! While the same game goes on in surrounding, majority white counties, Prince George’s County will ALWAYS be singled out and microscopically examined because Blacks are still NOT supposed to have more than anyone else unless the powers be approve it or they can somehow benefit.  STOP TRYING TO PLAY THE CORRUPTION GAME!!!!!

  • Dummy

Geico is sponsoring five children’s theater productions at the Publick Playhouse. The Gecko himself will be on hand to welcome the children to the theater.  Sounds like a great line up of plays.  I will personally be attending “School House Rock Live.”  Oh yes!

  • Conjunction junction

Maybe you’ve heard by now, maybe you haven’t but former Capitol Heights mayor Darrell Miller was charged with one count of felony theft, one count of fraudulent misappropriation by a fiduciary, and three election law violations for using $1000 of his campaign money for personal expenses.  Tiffany Alston (D-Dist. 24) is accused of trying to use more than $3500 of her campaign funds to pay for her December wedding expenses.

  • See my warning to Currie.  Gazette article HERE

Maryland Housing Department’s lease at the New Carrollton metro station will anchor a much bigger project.  Looks like apartments, arts center, retail, and more are on the way.  Yaaay!  I’m still bitter about the Labor/HHS deal going to Montgomery County after the Largo developers were rated higher but from the comments you all sent me, the federal government can make a lousy neighbor/leasee.
