Monday Morning Inspiration: Contentment

By Lifestreasury
Hey all, its a new week and I believe we are up and about with positive expectations. I was thinking on my way to work and I started counting God's blessings in my life and it amazed me.
I obviously have not gotten to the peak in my life (nobody has) but I am grateful for all I have gotten till now, Have you taken your time to do that too, rather than list all you have not gotten and that which the other person has that you have not gotten, take time to list all you have and I am sure you will be amazed to.
Today's little advice from me is STAY CONTENT. Never try to look into what others have, make do with what you have. A contented person knows that the source of contentment is deep within, trusting oneself and loving the life one has.
Here are some points I will like to emphasize on as we go into the new week:
Stop seeking the riches and fortune you think others have: Think about the realities involved; what a lot of other people have are debts and a need to be boastful through belongings. Eschew this path and avoid falling into the trap of wanting all the goodies others have. Having all that stuff will not make you happy.
Keep healthy with the little things: Spend according to what you get, who says you can't keep healthy with a low income. The healthiest substance (WATER) goes at no cost.
Trust and Have Faith: Wherever you are is not the end  of the road, manage what you have, work hard to get more, believe in God for everything you need and he will keep blessing the works of your hand.
Be positive in your thoughts: Changing your negative outlook to a positive outlook makes it much easier to be content.
Do not compare; Comparing your life against others or your past creates a lot of unhappiness, enjoy and make the most of what you have.
Do not purchase an item if you do not have the funds for it, do not try to live a life that you cannot afford yet, your time will come but it will only come based on how you manage what you have today.
Scripture to guide us through the week:
Philippians 4:4-8

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer & supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts & your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, whatever is true… honorable… just… pure… lovely… commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

WARNING:
Keep negative people at a distance. Be polite to them but avoid buying into their view of the world.
Take your journal and list all you are grateful for.
Are we ready to stay content with what we have?  Are we ready to plan right?
Have a most productive and blessed week. All your heart desires shall be granted this week, In Jesus Name.
