Having said that, this outfit is my first of the three "mellow-yellow" looks I will be posting this week. I bought this skirt on a whim, yeah I got sucked in by the 25% discount...again, thinking I might have to possibly return it. Having long legs is good but sometimes it is hard to find skirt lengths that hit at the right spot, especially when they just come in regular sizes ( no TALL sizes ). I had my own inhibitions about the skirt and inside lining length, but I still bought it online, with a firm belief in the back of my mind, that the skirt would be going back to the store. But to my surprise, the skirt fit me right and the hem hit my mid-calf, just where I would have ideally likes a tulle skirt to end.

The skirt was definitely love at first sight. I ended up wearing it with the yellow double breasted blazer, that has been on high rotation in my closet. My first footwear choice was a pair of neutral sandals, but when I slipped into these green pumps, just for the sake of trying out something different , the charm of the outfit quadrupled. The green is definitely a drift, but the whole lemonade-limeade vibe hits the right note with a happy summer outfit. To pull the look together I added the pearl sphere clutch in ivory and topped off with minimal makeup.
I would give this look a 9, how about you ??
