#mommyandme52

If I sat down to count, I think it's safe to say I have billions and billions of pictures of my kids. But most of them are just that… pictures of just my kids.
I read something somewhere that when you can, you should try and put yourself in as many pictures with your kiddos as possible. Because down the road, those are the ones that are going to be their favorites. I mean, I love seeing pictures of me when I was little but I love the ones with my parents and me even more.

I posted this picture on Instagram yesterday and it really made me think. I don't have nearly enough pictures of my kids with me in them. I'm always taking pictures of them, or of them with their dad, and because of that, I'm rarely in them.
Well that stops today.
I'm going to challenge myself to take one picture a week, for a year, with each of my kiddos. Not only will this give them something to look back on when they're older, but it will be so neat to see how much we both change over the course of the year.
I'm always making excuses like "oh I didn't shower today" or "I have no makeup on". But they're not going to care when they're thirty! And if you don't want to post it anywhere on social media, no worries…just hold yourself accountable. Having them to look back on is one of the greatest gifts you're going to give your children when they're older.

So if you want to join in on the challenge with me, use the hashtag #mommyandme52 and start posting your weekly pictures. I can't wait to see everyone and their littles!
Have a great weekend! xo
