Yes, it is two months before my daughter's wedding and I still have not bought my mother of the bride dress. I have not even found one. Now to be fair, I found some that I have liked which I will not be including in this blog just in case I have the desire to revisit the idea of wearing one of them.
Here's the problem. My daughter thinks I am 80 and I think I am 20. Neither are correct. Any dress I find my daughter looks at me in sheer horror. This of course has been going on since she was 13 when all of a sudden I had no clue on what was fashionable and what was not. The wedding has not improved that thought.
I, on the other hand, want to look like I am attending my daughter's wedding and not my funeral. Everything seems matronly and like a bad satin dream. I think if Danielle had her way she would have me wearing a burlap sack and that every inch of curves would be muted out.
I am certainly not looking to come as the family vixen but I know wedding pictures have a way of always resurfacing. Therefore, I would at least like to look fresh, current and like I have not lost all my marbles. I am giving myself another two weeks and then the trigger must be pulled. Until then, I am getting my mouth wired shut for the diet plan.
Kisses,
