Moe’s Original Bar B Que to Open Soon in Jackson Hole

By Dltmontana

After much anticipation Moe's Original Bar B Que will bring its Alabama-style BBQ and Southern fixins prepared fresh daily in mid-October to 140 N. Cache Street in the former Ripley's location. With a kitchen that will stay open late, the award-winning restaurant will feature a Southern soul food revival that will fit any budget. While the setting will be family-friendly, there will be a full premium bar offering a lively bar scene complete with HDTVs for sports fans, music, shuffle board and other games upstairs. Large party takeout orders and full service catering with delivery for any size group for parties, business lunches, reunions, weddings and other special events will also be available.

Upon entering the 4000 square foot restaurant, guests will walk past chairlifts hanging from the ceiling, ski posters and local JHMR signs in a small dining room filled with dark wooden tables and cafeteria swinging chairs. Menu boards, posters, TVs, concert memorabilia and local art will also fill the walls leading up to an order counter in the main dining room that is directly across from a designed wooden pallet wall. This space will have an industrial feel with a 30 foot tall open ceiling, exposed mechanical system and wood/steel beams. Capacity is 125 inside with bar, banquet and community table seating. There is a beautiful outdoor dining space on the balcony that seats another 16 with views of Snow King and the shops along town square. Additionally, a private event space upstairs is available for smaller gatherings from viewing football games to birthday parties.

"After being a fan of Moe's Original Bar B Que in college and having a love of the mountains and skiing, I moved out west to work at the corporate headquarters in Vail, CO. I knew it was time to open a location of my own after learning all aspects of the company for five years," said co-owner David Fogg. "When the founding partners told me that Tom Fay was interested in opening a Moe's in another world class ski town, I was very interested. After meeting Tom and seeing his success in owning Pinky G's, I was easily sold and knew it was a perfect fit to partner with him on this venture."

Recognized with many awards, Moe's Original Bar B Que has been named one of the Top 10 Rib Joints in the U.S. by Relish and Top 10 BBQ Chains in America by USA Today and The Daily Meal. Moe's Original Bar B Que features award-winning pulled pork, ribs, wings, turkey and chicken smoked over hardwood served with two unique sauces in addition to Catfish and a Shrimp Moe-Boy sandwich. Additionally, a daily rotation of traditional Southern sides and tasty desserts are prepared fresh from recipes passed down for generations. In over a decade Moe's Original Bar B Que has grown from a junkyard pit to over 45 successful restaurants in 15 states.
