Plot: A sheriff tries to keep the peace when a desperate family man violently robs a pill mill with his brother-in-law, alerting an enforcer for the New Orleans mafia.

Story: Mob Land starts when we meet Shelby (Fernandez), he has been struggling for money until his brother-in-law Trey (Dillon) offers him a job. However, the job involves robbing a criminal group. Although, they never knew it was related to the Mafia.
Clayton (Dorff) is sent to solve the problem and doesn’t hold back in fixing his boss’s problems. Now, Shelby must figure out how to save his family, while his father-in-law Sheriff Davies (Travolta) looks to keep the town clean.
Verdict on Mob Land
Mob Land is an action crime thriller following two men who rob a crime ring. However, they didn’t know it belonged to the Mafia and now the Mafia have sent an enforcer to fix the problem. They must figure out how to survive without their loved ones getting hurt.
This follows a traditional small-town crime escalated to a massive level. It gives us a father trying to protect his family, going against a ruthless enforcer. With those two main elements, we get everything we need to give us an entertaining and moody thriller. The performances are strong and by the end of the film, it finally gives us a lived-in world.
Final Thoughts – Mob Land is a strong moody crime thriller.
