2.0 M.O.B. (Maimonede(s) of Brooklyn), 34, Quai d'Austerlitz (in the building called "The Docks" which also houses Wanderlust, Nuba and the Museum of Mode and Design in the 13th, 01.42.77.51.05 (but no reservations), open 7/7 (Metro: Austerlitz) is a place I immediately thought of when my new friend who writes a blog that covers restaurants under 20 E suggested we lunch together. I'd been by it several weeks ago on my way to Wanderlust and it looked kind of fun. You cannot see the carte above the counter but it's essentially "burgers", "dogs" and frites with cute little 187 ml glasses of wine (3.90 E)
One of us ordered the burger wrap (in Chinese cabbage not a tortilla) and the guys had the "President" Deluxe burger, a mixture of carrot, polenta, rice, mushroom and it seems 10 other ingredients the manager ticked off. With genuine old Heinz catsup in a squeeze bottle it was quite acceptable - the frites unfortunately were not - neither crisp on the outside nor tastily moist on the inside. The wine went down fine, however.
Madame, who had the "menu/formule" that included a butter and sugarless cookie offered to share it with us and we tried it and shrugged our shoulders. At this point the manager joined us and comp'd us to two cheese-cakes, which I was also not wild about.
My bill for one, was 13.90 E, thus 27.80 E per couple.
Go? It's probably unfair for me to rate or judge a vegetarian place, since I have no more experience with it than Mongolian food but I can't see the point.
