After weeks of MIUI 12 beta testing, Redmi Note 8 Pro users in India are finally getting the public stable update for MIUI 12 Global.
Since Xiaomi revealed its big Android skin update to the world in May, several MIUI 12 supported devices in India have received the update.
Not long ago, Xiaomi India hosted a live announcement of MIUI 12 on YouTube, where it revealed a new MIUI 12 rollout schedule for Xiaomi device users in India. So far, owners of Redmi K20 / K20 Pro, Mi 10 and Poco X2 have received the update. Now is the time for Xiaomi budget device users to take advantage of the latest MIUI 12 update.

Redmi Note 8 Pro owners in India who have not received the update can try to install their device using the manual update process.
Interestingly, other devices from the same pilot program, such as the Redmi Note 7, 7 Pro, 7S, are still in the testing phase. However, it won't be long before the Redmi Note 7 series also receives the MIUI 12 Global Stable update once and for all.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has released several country-specific MIUI 12 Stable updates for Redmi Note 9 users, indicating that a MIUI 12 India Stable update for the same is not far off. Unfortunately, there is no information about MIUI 12 India updates for Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
