Misun has been crafting retro pop gems with grace and unique style since 2012. Now based in LA (formerly Washington DC), the group seems to have added more polish and flair to their signature blend of retro pop with a variety of other genres. “After Me” is a palpably slower tune with a defined melody and distinct similarities to the latter material of Fitz and the Tantrums. With each echoing ‘oo’ and passing hook, it sinks subconsciously into your musical memory. A pounding beat and stacked layers of synth wrap up Misun Wojcik’s spiraling thoughts in a seemingly hopeful progression. They are starting to make writing irresistible pop songs look all too easy. Misun’s Feel Better EP is out May 29th.
