The body of a gem trader who went missing in the Kahawatta area has been found inside a mine pit in Neelagama.
The 61-year-old father of two, a resident of Kattange, Kahawatta, had been reported missing following a mysterious disappearance along the Kahawatta–Neelagama road.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim had been traveling on a motorcycle on the afternoon of Saturday (28).
His motorcycle was later found parked near a bend along the same road, while his mobile phone was discovered on Sunday (29) in a nearby tea estate. (NewsWire)
