More about: Ming Yang The split-level layout of this Chinese restaurant allows you to enjoy a view of the Arabian Sea and the Portuguese Fort from anywhere in the room. The right-angled zigzag of the back wall imitates a Chinese screen, as well as offers secluded bays for semi-private dining. Though you can savour many Chinese delicacies. Ming Yang is known for its superlative Szechwan cuisine. This specialty restaurant offers delicacies for even the most discerning tastes in the peaceful setting designed around the principles of Feng Shui.  Specializing in Szechwan cuisine, the restaurant’s signature color is complemented with paintings decorated with Chinese motifs executed in traditional brush style, creating a subtle intimacy. Glass etchings and running water provide the final touches in creating the perfect Oriental ambiance at Ming Yang. With a plethora of delectable meal combinations, this restaurant offers an array of richly flavored and mouth-watering cuisines from various regions including Shanghai, Beijing, Szechwan and Canton. • Steamed Rice
  • Chawmy Noodles

What I loved:
  • The food is very tasty
  • I loved their wine list
  • Dinner starts with a cup of complimentary Chinese tea
  • The staff is welcoming but needs a bit more training
  • The ambiance of this place is pleasant
  • The fortune cookie offered at the end
  • They offer Coke
  • Choose between round or square tables depending on the meal’s theme

The minuses:
  • The wine service is disastrous. A lot of training is needed
  • I would add some more light to the place
  • Desserts are not the best you can have. Good but not exceptional
Ming Yang is an address to consider next time you visit Mumbai. I loved the private room at the entrance with its long table that can host up to 14 guests. Enjoy tasty Chinese preparations in a classy and cozy atmosphere.
