Following Elon Musk’s use of a Milo Manara drawing to intrigue Donald Trump to return to Twitter, the Italian comics master reacted on Instagram with an even NEWER version of the meme, in which the pretty lady’s butt is now Dogecoin (a funny cryptocurrency that Musk once supported) and the tempted holy man is now Manara’s lawyer.

Manara wrote in Italian and English.
“I wish Elon Musk would be forced to tweet a thousand times:
“I will never use Milo Manara drawings again without permission. I will never again use Milo Manara’s drawings without permission. I will never again use…”
How about I sue him, asking for $44Bn in compensation? Then I could buy back Twitter and give it back to someone else to manage!”
“Vorrei che Elon Musk fosse obbligato a twittare mille volte:
Non userò mai più i disegni di Milo Manara senza permesso. Non userò mai più i disegni di Milo Manara senza permesso. Non userò mai più…
Che ne dite se gli faccio causa, chiedendogli 44Bn di $ di risarcimento? Così potrei ricomprare Twitter e ridarlo in gestione a qualcun altro!”
It’s great to see Manara standing up to Musk, whose erratic management style has been criticized in the two weeks he’s been Twitter’s CEO.
Aside from the internet chaos, the 77-year-old comics genius is likely amused by all of this. Ultimately, what does he have to worry about? The Lucca Comics Festival recently honored him with the title of “Maestro of Comics” for his lifetime of work. In addition, it was reported that he will collaborate with Frank Miller on a new Sin City story for Frank Miller Presents, a subject matter that is clearly well-suited to Manara’s aesthetic.
It remains to be seen if the thin-skinned Musk will continue to target Manara; he probably won’t, as there isn’t much profit in embarrassing an Italian cartoonist, but never say never! If it receives the world’s richest man greater attention, literally anything is possible.
