Midwest Cultural Tourism Conference and Jessica Nunemaker
If you’ve met me in real life, you probably noticed two things: One, that I’m taller online and two. that I like to talk about small towns!
It made perfect sense to accept the opportunity to present at the Midwest Cultural Tourism Conference in Bloomington, Indiana.

I spoke during the Cultured Destinations portion of the afternoon, with “Small Towns: Destinations, not Drive-Thrus.
Some of you may recognize that catchphrase from the PBS segment I do as part of state-wide, magazine style show The Weekly Special.
For those who don’t know it, I think it really sums things up pretty well! At first glance, you may not think there’s all that much to a “typical” small town but once you get out of the car and really look, it’s rather surprising, don’t'cha think?

Midwest Cultural Tourism Conference and Jessica Nunemaker (Kinda)
So, yes. I have gotten into presenting every now and again and I’m really loving it!
It’s a new way to share the mission of little Indiana and the amazing features found in small towns across the state. Somehow, folks don’t seem to know that already. I’m so grateful to be given the chance to open their eyes.
My husband, Jeremy Nunemaker, was going to take images of me during the presentation. The image to the right is one of two that he took and it is definitely the better of the two! He’s just not used to the new camera–but at least he tried! I do love my red heels.
When I finished, a Midwest Cultural Tourism Conference attendee handed me a copy of her book so I guess I did okay! I can’t wait to share that one with you later. It’s very good.

While I’m not quite used to seeing “presenter” following my name, it’s definitely been really fun!
So, you never know. Maybe I’ll appear at an event near you. Make sure and say, “Hey!” okay? It’s nice to know there’s a friendly face in the crowd.
