And lastly, a little further afield for my readers a bit further South….
The Fishes in North Hinksey, part of the Peach Pub Group (sister of The Highfield for the Brummies) is continuing its run of country pursuits by casting off for a day’s fly fishing on Saturday 9th May 2015, when there’ll be prizes for the biggest catch as well as a fantastic fish supper back at the pub afterwards.
Join Fishes manager and would-be country gent Owain Llwyd Jones for a sausage sarnie at the pub and then on for a full day’s fishing at a picturesque Oxfordshire trout fishery that’s well-stocked with rainbow and brown trout and see who can be first to land a catch.
Fly Fishing with The Fishes takes place on Saturday 9th May 2015. Meet at the pub at 8.15am and spend a whole day fishing with all tackle and flies provided. Tickets, which include morning refreshments, transport, equipment, tuition, lunch and supper cost £115 and can be booked by going to http://www.fishesoxford.co.uk/events/
Disclosure: I wasn’t paid to write about any of these events, blah blah. They just interest me, so might also interest you :)
