Almost every version of the microwave peanut brittle recipes I researched included corn syrup – which may not be in your cupboards, and some people try to avoid having in their food if at all possible.
This recipe from HoneyBeeMelissa at AllRecipes uses caramel candies to replace the sugar and corn syrup. You could also try adapting a no corn syrup stovetop method like this one from DrSalia.com, heating in the microwave gradually instead of on the stove.
