Signing a deal with Indian smartphone maker, Karbonn, Microsoft has allowed the company to make Windows Phone handsets, including a Dual boot device that will allow users to switch between Android and Windows Phone. These devices will go on sale as soon as in June, 2014, according to Times of India.
“Microsoft has eased the regulations and is opening up its platform for other players. We signed the agreement two days ago and will launch a range of Windows phones in about three months,” said chairman of Karbonn, Sudhir Hasija.

As it appears, Microsoft seems to be finally using its’ brains to use Android to bring its’ own Windows Phone OS to more crowds. Last month at the 2014 Mobile World Congress, Microsoft’s big-time partner and soon to be owned, Nokia announced its’ first Android handset and revealed its’ plans to launch a series of inexpensive Windows Phone smartphones. Microsoft’s is testing a new strategy to cut-down on costs to bring more WP-powered phones to emerging markets. Microsoft is also in talks with HTC to include Windows Phone in its’ flagship phones as well.
