Microsoft Goes Old School with New $29 Nokia Feature Phone

No, Nokia is not dead yet! Microsoft has just proved all the previous rumors about ditching the Nokia brand wrong by releasing a new feature phone dubbed Nokia 215.

Microsoft calls it the “most affordable Internet-ready entry level phone yet”. Although, unlike many other Microsoft devices, the Nokia 215 does not get powered by Windows Phone, or any other OS. It’s simply an old-school feature phone with internet for checking Facebook, only through a 2G connection, of course.

The $29 Nokia 215 also comes packed with a long-lasting battery that keeps the phone up and running for about a month on a single charge. It will also be available in both single-SIM and dual-SIM models in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe starting in the first quarter of 2015.
