Microsoft would have given the 90’s kids memorable moments of their lives but it predicts that in 20 years time people will find an Xbox 360 under the stairs and say, ‘Oh wow, I remember this, isn’t it cute’. With already 10 years since its launch Microsoft has said that it is stopping the manufacture of the XBox 360 games console.

The Xbox boss Phil Spencer has said that gamers who have been using the Xbox 360 had completed more than 78 billion hours of play on the devices. He also added that all the remaining Xbox 360 consoles would still be sold, and the platform would continue to be support the existing users.

There were quite a lot of good games that were made for the Xbox 360 but its age is the main reason for its discontinuation. However this can never be regarded as an unexpected move by Microsoft as after running for a solid 10 years which is far more than expected, this is the right time to put out the plug.

With a successful run over all these years, the Xbox 360’s run has been definitely much longer and bigger than the original Xbox. However the already existing users will have full support for these devices.
