There are artists that are tied to a time, a genre, a memory, or an era in music and/or our lives. For me, is one of those artists.
And because I've found myself in a lot of Michelle Branch rabbit holes lately, I started digging and sorting and decided to find her Top 10 - By The Numbers.
Note: When we're talking about or listening to Michelle Branch, it's nearly impossible not to mention Vanessa Carlton and A Thousand Miles. So, here we are mentioning it.
This list started as they all do, with the Popular list on her Spotify page. BUT, things differ with Michelle Branch because I also went to The Wreckers for numbers. And, it's impossible to ignore her work with Santana, as well as her husband Patrick Carney. After the Spotify streams, we went to YouTube and grabbed the numbers for official videos and audio-only videos (artist pages as well as Warner Records + some "topic" lists).
As always, live videos, remixes, and fan videos were not included.
Then, we started doing the math and the sorting and what started as a list of 20 songs was whittled down to a Top 10, ranked by total streams on Spotify and YouTube.
