Michaels Rag Rug Sheep

By Kathybarbro @KathyBarbro
Last week Michaels sent me some of their new craft fabrics to experiment with, and here’s one project that I came up with. It’s got the look of a little rag rug, without needing any needles. For more fabric ideas from Michaels, visit their new LookBook.
1. Cut the burlap fabric to your overall size. Pull about 5 or 6 threads from each side to make a fringe.
2. Tear (don’t cut) strips of muslin or white fabric about an inch wide. Do the same with black cotton fabric.
3. Tie lots of knots in the strips. Pull as much as possible to tighten them.
4. Cut the knots off very close to edge.
5. Glue the knots down to the burlap with white glue. I like the little Aleene’s Tacky Glue bottle as you can squeeze small dots. Let dry and attach to a card or hang from a wall.
