I've never tried a Michael Kors fragrance before and I've always steered away from the bags (which everyone seems to own) in favour of other brands. Speaking of which, I have a new bag to show you which will no doubt feature in an upcoming outfit. When the new fragrance, 'White' arrived, I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised.
From the moment you see the packaging, you can tell it's pretty luxurious but if there's one thing I've learned about fragrances lately, it's the smell that's the most important. Even better if it smells familiar or brings back a memory. Michael Kors White* is floral and musky, so basically the two things I look for in a fragrance. Top notes of freesia and ylang ylang give it a floral punch, heart notes of tuberose, white peony and jasmine enhance the bouquet and base notes of white musk and vanilla blend to make it a timeless fragrance. This is a parfum, so you don't need to spray a lot to smell it on your skin all day and as it settles on your skin, you'll be able to smell the different layers within the fragrance.
Starting at £39 for 30ml from Debenhams, it's not the most expensive fragrance on the market and I'm sure it'll be popular this Christmas (yes I just said that...in August) potentially a rival to YSL Black Opium, which I love; it should be available as an Eau De Toilette in late November (but don't hold me to that).
