MetaTag, the NFT registration platform, said today that it will allow players across the world complete control over their digital identity throughout the Metaverse, NFT games, online gaming platforms, and exchanges. For the first time, players will be able to create a completely owned digital alias by registering a username or gamertag on the blockchain to use in game.
MetaTag’s technology allows users to authenticate who they claim they are and combine all of their diverse personalities into one unified identity via their gamertag /username in the form of an NFT on the blockchain, thanks to a world-class team from Goldman Sachs, Riot, and Kraken.
This confirmed identity can also be used on other gaming platforms and in the Metaverse. It allows users to create a gaming profile that is completely theirs and cannot be copied or counterfeited, reducing the danger of gaming identity theft. It effectively provides users with a single identity that they may use throughout the Metaverse.
