Thank you Henry Keogh, served in WW1, British Army, Royal Leicestershire Regiment. (Grandfather, front row, second from right.)
Thank you to John B. Prata, (my father) serving the United States Navy, after successful training at Officer Candidate School, Newport RI and Navy Supply Corps School, Athens GA. He served in the Pacific at Bikini. He was on the ship that the Navy used to test hydrogen bombs.
Thank you to Raymond Tortolani, (Uncle) also a Navy man graduated from Officer Candidate School in Newport RI.
Thank you to William Keogh (uncle) served in the United States Coast Guard.
These men survived the war or their service, though many of my father's companions died of various cancers caused by radiation poisoning developed from being on the ships at Bikini.
Thank you to all men and women who served or are serving. The liberties I enjoy are directly attributable to all of you. I'm grateful.
