Taken during the Wings Over the Pacific airshow, the Blues are in a vertical stack as they transition to their next formation during their flight demonstration.  First formed in 1946, the Blue Angels have been using the F/A-18 Hornet since 1986.  These are usually the oldest jets in the fleet that have been taken out of frontline combat strike units as newer models are delivered. In 2020 the Blue Angels completed their long awaited transition to the Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet.  Nikon D7000 w/80-400mm.
