Taken during the Kaneohe Bay Airshow, Blue Angel #6 heads upstairs to demonstrate the vertical performance envelope of the Hornet. One advantage of an airshow in humid conditions is the ease of which vapor is formed by certain aircraft maneuvers. First formed in 1946, the Blue Angels have been using the F/A-18 Hornet since 1986. These are usually the oldest jets in the fleet that have been taken out of frontline combat strike units as newer models are delivered. Nikon D7100 w/80-400mm, processing with Aperture.
