This Strike Eagle pulls vapor during its flight demonstration at the 2010 Wings Over Pittsburgh Airshow. The F-15E was designed in the 1980’s by McDonnell Douglas as a long range interdiction fighter. The company envisaged the aircraft as a replacement for the F-111 Aardvark and F-4 Phantoms. Built with a sturdier airframe, these F-15Es are expected to remain in service past 2025.  Nikon D300 w/80-200mm.
