McDonald’s Toy for Kids Says “WTF” and “damned”

FoxNews reports, July 10, 2015, that some customers of McDonald’s are complaining that a talking “minions” toy included in recent Happy Meals for kids, uses curse words.

Alexis Hernandez said when her 5-year-old daughter, Julissa, opened up the minion toy from her McDonald’s Happy Meal while she was sitting in the back seat of their car, Hernandez heard the toy emit “What the F*ck” and “But I’ll be damned.”

At first, Julissa’s grandmother, who was also in the car, had thought the little girl said the curse words. But Julissa said, “No, that wasn’t me, that’s the minion, that’s the toy.'”

On July 3, McDonald’s introduced a Happy Meal with toys inspired by the movie Minions. The toys spit out three phrases when you tap them on a hard surface.

McDonald’s released a statement confirming that “a very small number of customers” have complained, but insists that the minion toys are saying only nonsense words, instead of obscenities or profanities.

Minions, a prequel of the Despicable Me movies, premieres Friday.

So, does the toy say “WTF” and “I’ll be damned”? You be the judge!

I heard the two phrases. The words “f*ck” and “damned” especially are clear and emphatic.
