Spread the love: Thank a nurse for International Nurse Day

The importance of nurses is impossible to deny and this year on International Nurse Day I want to give an extra special thank you to nurses worldwide who are working tirelessly to protect us during the Covid-19 crisis. Nurses have been one of the hardest working and most impacted essential workers during the pandemic. They work long hours trying to keep our community safe and healthy. They are in clinics, hospitals, and long-term care facilities setting their fear aside and facing the pandemic selflessly and caring for people compassionately.

According to CBC news, in Ontario, 16% of Covid-19 patients are health care workers. They are at the very front of the front-lines, and without nurses, so many lives would have been lost. It takes a special person to put themselves in harm's way, distance from their families, and risk their lives to save others. Thank you nurses! Not just during the Covid-19 pandemic, but all the time, because you never give up when human life is at risk regardless of the circumstances. I hope you are safe, healthy, happy, and able to find small slivers of light in the darkness.

Please share this post to say thank you to the nurses in your community! Spread love instead of the virus!
