Klughaus is back at Basel! Klughaus Gallery is thrilled to be joining forces with Max Fish, DKNY and DKNY Jeans for the 2013 Max Fish Art Basel Pop-Up.

Until it closed its doors last July, Max Fish was a local hangout for artists, musicians and skaters that epitomized the downtown scene for 25 years. Like Max Fish and DKNY, Klughaus is a longtime purveyor and patron of lower Manhattan and we consider the Lower East Side our stomping grounds and aesthetic inspiration. As downtown continues to transition for better or worse, Klughaus welcomes the chance to collaborate with the Fish as another bastion of old school New York that is carving out a space somewhere between what the city was and what its becoming.

To pay homage to Max Fish and NYC, Klughaus will help Max Fish re-create the bar’s legendary LES space in Miami. Klughaus artists will paint Radio Bar’s interiors and exteriors onsite including the Fish’s infamous graffiti-decorated bathrooms and interior blue and red dot patterns. Klughaus will also present an eclectic mix of artwork representing different scenes and mediums by a variety of artists and photographers both established and emerging.

Exhibiting artists include: Alexander Heir, Brigitte Engler, Cinik, Combey Road, Dan Santoro, Elmo, Greg Lamarche, Gregg Woolard, Grotesk, Javier Bergasa, Jurne, Lewy Btm, Mark Flood, Maxwell Holyoke-Hirsch, Maya Margolina, Meryl Smith, Mr. Kiji, Sabekst, Seb Gorey, Snoeman, The Yok & Sheryo, Tom Gould, Victor Reyes, Steel, Wane Cod and more!
