Maternity Wear from Shabby Apple

By Samantha Curtis @hooahandhiccups
Dressing fashionable while pregnant has been quite the challenge; gaining weight is no fun at all but gaining it in totally new places has made me super cautious on what I wear.
When Shabby Apple contacted me to review something from their maternity friendly collection, I couldn't wait! I love the look of their vintage clothing and was really looking forward to adding a maternity friendly piece to my closet.

The idea of this dress is perfect for pregnancy AND nursing which makes it a two-for-one win. But to be honest with you, this particular dress didn't make me feel very pretty. It was a loose on top and felt a little clingy around the waist and belly. Perhaps it's the fact that I feel completely uncomfortable in my own skin let alone clothing. However, they do offer a variety of other dresses that may have been a better fit for me.

I'm pictured wearing the Stone Haven, priced at $76. I can't speak for everyone but I do have to say this price is typically out of my price range. I wouldn't mind spending that much for a baby shower or special occasion but especially on maternity wear, I try to keep my purchases relatively inexpensive.

Be sure to check out Shabby Apple for other vintage clothing options; the clothes they offer for non-expecting mothers are just as cute!

Disclosure: I received this dress as a gift in exchange for a review. All opinions expressed are my own. No other compensation was provided.
