The Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has fired again on the Peoples Democratic Social gathering (PDP), stating that Governor Bello Matawalle wouldn't resign his place because the governor of the state.

The PDP had urged the governor to resign following his defection from PDP to APC, in addition to his incapability to deal with the prevailing safety challenges within the state.

However Mr Yusuf Idris, the state APC Publicity Secretary, advised newsmen in Gusau on Wednesday that the decision was misplaced.

Idris mentioned Matawalle wouldn't resign due to a sure name by determined politicians making an attempt to safeguard their egocentric pursuits.

He mentioned Matawalle's emergence because the state governor was ordained by God, including that the decision for his resignation by PDP was an indication of accepting defeat within the upcoming 2023 normal elections.

"The achievements of the governor are very clear; even though he is not in full control of the security agencies.

"But his administration has been giving support to them in restoring peace and stability in the state," he mentioned.
