Verdict on Masterminds

Masterminds is a biographical crime comedy that follows a career criminal that seduces an armoured car driver to do a massive heist from his work. It follows the different lives that come together to make things happen, as the two criminal sides are highlighted.

This is shown to be a story that is negative, with how the characters come together, playing into the fact they aren’t the smartest. It shows how easily it gets completed and how things can spiral out of control. The performances play into the comedic actor’s strength, even if the comedy doesn’t always hit home.

Final Thoughts Masterminds is a slow-moving comedy heist that doesn’t click as well as it should.
