Master Gardener in the Making

By Yankeepants

This Fall, I’ve been enjoying participating in the Master Gardener training program offered through ISU Extension.  This first month has been jam-packed with activities and classes, so I’ve scaled back on my recipe development to give myself a little breathing space.  I’ve got a few test recipes on the back burner, so to speak, but I’ll be taking a couple of weeks off from posting to focus on my Master Gardener studies.  For any of you who are local and considering the MG program, I highly recommend it!  It’s a lot of work, but gaining so much specialized knowledge, making contacts among local horticulture and botany research professionals, and getting to interact with the local community in a new and meaningful way is incredibly rewarding.

I’ll meet you back here at the beginning of November with some great anti-inflammatory recipes for the holiday season!
