Marshall has launched the latest version of their Major over-the-ear headphones. Termed the Marshall Major III Voice, the headphones now come equipped with Google Assistant.
For the uninitiated, the series went wireless with the Major II Bluetooth, while the first generation was obviously wired. The 'Voice' in the name hints at a possible voice assistant integration, in this case the Google's Assistant.
Marshall Major III Voice features
The wireless headphones feature 40 mm dynamic drivers, 3D hinges, a multi-directional control knob, soft ear cushions, and a straight fit headband. They weigh 192 grams and come in black color.
The integration of a voice-enabled assistant means that the user can now take calls via a Bluetooth paired smartphone. They can also ask all kinds of questions to the Assistant and fulfil their curiosities. They can also update their schedule via voice commands, or just check the weather before heading out. The Assistant can also play their favorite playlist, offer directions, and read text messages aloud.
Marshall Major III Voice battery life
Marshall is promising a battery life of 60 hours on a single charge. Although this sounds impressive, real life tests should carry that claim to test.
Marshall Major III Voice pricing and availability
The headphones go on sale October 16 onwards. They are priced at $169.
